Craving chickpeas - nutrition?

Just open a can of chicken peas and eat it. No need to think so much about it.

You like the taste and are craving that.

Whey are people saying you are craving salt? Chickpeas have no salt at all, unless stored in salt (but that applies to every other food).

You might be craving Potassium.

Hopefully the OP figured it out in the last SIX years.

Good Lord, it is fascinating that someone disinterred such a facile post.

Hopefully OP gets back to us soon with a demi-decade report

It sounds nasty, but one of my favorite ‘healthy’ treats is chocolate chip cookie dough dip made within chickpeas.

You basically purée chickpeas, add milk, peanut butter, a little sugar, salt, vanilla, and chocolate chips and you got cookie dough dip.

I was skeptical until I tried it. So good.

I love chickpeas and est them in several ways. I don't do canned chickpeas though store bought hummus. Fun easy crunchy roasted chickpea
Recipe:

1 cup dried chickpeas soaked in water 12-23 hrs.

Drain, put on kitchen linen, let dry while oven heats. 400 degree oven, sheetpan with parchment. Toss chickpeas in two tablespoons olive oil and a little salt. Spread on pan, roast 10 min. Shake pan. Roast 10 min more. Shake pan. Roast 3-4 min. Shake pan again, roast til med golden colour. Watch carefully. Mine usually take 25-28 min. Remove and while hot add spice mix of choice. I do tajin chili lime. Let cool completely and store room temp with loose lid. Stays crunchy. Tip" if you make these and they are mealy, you didn't cook then enough. Aim for medium golden.

You're starting your morning with a cup of chickpeas?? You may need more iron.

I eat 2 cups of chickpeas for breakfast.

I crave cottage cheese.

I also crave chickpeas.

I don’t think it means anything at all other than you really like chickpeas.

This is not the same thing as craving paint chips and chalk means you have low iron. You cannot extrapolate a deficiency in anything because you like chickpeas.
