TV Dinners For Work

In a pinch, I also like Evol, Saffron Road Tadah falafel wraps and Cedar Lane bean burritos.

Same here. I like the burritos, which I will eat with hummus. Burrito + hummus usually fills me up. The Sweet Earth burritos are good as well.

I did this all through grad school.

If money is not an issue, I use Trifecta Nutrition. They sell things a la carte, but here's the link for their meals: https://shop.trifectanutrition.com/classic-meals/

This is really interesting. Basically, fresh, not frozen, cooked food. Like an Evol bowl but not frozen, and with the variety of a fresh meal service.

Do you know of other companies that do this, for comparison? Or is this it?

Stouffers now has mac and cheese that are in frozen cups. They are great because they can heat up in 2-3 minutes. I keep a bunch of those in the freezer of our staff refrigerator -- but I put them in a tied up plastic bag because they are really yummy and have disappeared on me if they are just out and visible. For some reason, having to untie a bag seems to keep the "borrowers" at bay.

I order from Territory Foods. Same concept but local.

I also occasionally have Amy's or Lean Cuisine frozen meals.

I sometimes go through a Lean Cuisine phase. Definitely better if you add other frozen veggies. I also like a lot their santa Fe Rice and beans - it's vegetarian. Sometimes I'll eat it like a dip with tortilla chips.

There seem to be lots of companies that are popping up in major cities like this. They cater primarily to the Paleo lifestyle, which I don't follow, and is why I prefer Trifecta. I have a bunch of food allergies and sometimes prefer to travel with food to ease some of that worry. I've frozen the Trifecta meals, packed them, and let them defrost in a hotel fridge and they were still delicious. Also makes it easier to meet the $119 order minimum when you can order for 2 weeks of lunches and freeze half.

I used to keep peanut butter and oatmeal, bread, and jam in my mini fridge when I was pregnant. A PBJ or oatmeal with peanut butter would hold me over and healthier than frozen meals. Now I keep an Amy's burrito in the freezer, but those aren't very filling.

I wouldn't do it every day due to the salt content and since they aren't filling but lean cuisine and even the weight watchers ones are fine.

I never eat them. They have too much processed stuff in them and too much sodium. Making your own food is still the healthiest way

Agreed -- I'm Indian, and think the Tandoor Chef ones are good, the others I've tried tasteless (but haven't tried Trader Joes).

Love the mac and cheese, enchiladas, and steamed soup dumplings from TJ's for work.

The Sukhi's street wraps, available in Wegmans frozen section, are really good for tandoori chicken etc. Sukhi's also makes entrees.

Simple egg Ang sausage breakfast buritto. Delicious, fast, and only $2 at giant.

I hadn't eaten these in years but just last week tried a couple "Smart Made" ones because work is crazy and they're pretty good. The one with turkey, green beans and sweet potato was pretty tasty. I do need a snack to get through the rest of the day though.
