Lawyers in non-lawyer jobs- what do you do?

I do risk assessment for a large corporation and I love it. I am a lawyer and a few other people on my team are as well but other people have international relations or banking backgrounds.

PP here, I should add that I am in compliance. I thought compliance was super dry but my team does really cool stuff.

I work with a few in cyber security. Very sharp and they make sure we stay out of trouble.

I've known a few non-lawyer lawyers. One developed an app and made a bunch of money. One moved home and worked in a kennel. One was a bartender.

I worked in legal marketing. I didn't love it, but they're always including in the job description that they prefer candidates have a JD.

Pay isn't going to compare to associate level salary until you get very senior and I felt like everyone gives you the stink eye because instead of billing hours you're a leech adding to the firm's admin costs.

Lead generation/biz dev for software companies. Get an aptitude test done at ability potentials.

Im not an attorney, but im the CCO and there is never a dull moment. There's a lot of drama. It's amazing the stupid things people think they can get away with
