The only Gabriels I've known have been Protestant, Jewish, and Muslim. I don't know any Catholic Gabriels. I'm sure they exist, but I certainly do not assume "very Catholic". And I'm Catholic and went to parochial school. |

I have a Gabriel too, so I'm partial to that, but I also like Lucas. My perception is Lucas is trendier these days, if that matters to you. I don't know any other Gabriels (except for the mom upthread - hello, kindred spirit).
FWIW we are neither conservative nor fully Catholic (DH is, I'm not). But a couple of our friends commented that it seemed like a very religious/biblical name. |
