| You don't need to travel for it. My mom has had a few of these done and I've traveled for them, but only because she lives alone and has no family up there, so I wanted her to have someone at the hospital and at home with her for a day or two afterward (there were some activity restrictions immediately afterward). Your dad has your mom to help. While it can feel scary to the patient and those around him, it's not a major medical procedure. |

Thank you, everyone. After talking with my mom, I am not going to travel since my sibling will be there.
To the Trump thing, perhaps a bad reference. In any event, my dad is 6'3" and well over 300lbs, possibly 350 which is why I mentioned it as a risk factor. I appreciate all the feedback. |
