We were there over spring break. This is all excellent advice.

Second the recommendations for Luquillo Beach, the kiosks in Luquillo, and El Yunque rainforest. We also loved visiting the forts in old San Juan. Also, the food is excellent.


All this and if you are going with kids, go to pigeon park in Old San Juan. We loved it.


Forgot to mention none of us got any mosquito bites. I did buy those repellent bracelets but I didn't really notice any around and mosquitoes LOVE LOVE LOVE me.
Came home and got a dozen bites at the DC zoo though.

Cell phones work too! Coverage can be a little slow when not in OSJ but definitely adequate.
