What store did you use to do your registry?

I have registered at giggle.com and babyearth.com initially and added babies r us for those older folks coming to my shower who arent as internet savvy. I also am registered at target. I love giggle although they are a little boutique-like and dont have all of the standards like the box stores. babyearth is less of a boutique and specializes in eco friendly stuff. Both places have more design friendly stuff that isnt as "cheesy" as the box stores. I think adding a mix of online artsy and brick and mortar standard is a good move.

That is perfect! I've been trying to figure out how to get BPA free versions of a lot of the "baby essentials" but they are all over the place. I love the wish list idea!

Another plug for Amazon. Not only was it "one stop shopping" but I found the prices to be much better than other places. I like to save money for my friends/family and myself!

I believe they now have a universal Registry option also - so can add items from any place to the Amazon Registry. I am not at the end yet but I have heard that they send you a coupon near birth to purchase remaining things on your Registry at a discount. I am not 100% sure of that but may be a reason to stick with Registry over Wish List.

And FYI I also used the Wish List function to keep track of things I needed, not going on Registry - sort of became my "to do-buy" list even if I bought someplace else (like I didn't feel the need to put Breast pump and smaller items on Registry).

I did BRU out of convenience for my family that would be buying gifts (they are not all internet savy and there is not a BBB near them)
Also, there is definitely a price difference (BRU has the slight advantage ) between the two stores.

For me, BBB is always packed to the gills with people. Granted the staff is more visible and helpful than BRU. Which BRU is everyone referring to? The one is Silver Spring is good. (one in Chantilly horrible)

Target has alot of nice things too. But we only wanted to register at one location.

Also, BRU every time you buy something you will automatically be handed a 15% off coupon. BBB it seems like there is some unknown magic to getting these elusive 20% off coupons I keep hearing about.

I would consider more who is going to be invited to your shower. What stores would be convenient to them? I would have loved to do Amazon, but I have too many old Aunts that wouldn't be able to figure it out. I went with BRU just because I know it has more locations where people live, not because it was my favorite store. And for many items the inventory is really the same. There were maybe 3 items that BRU doesn't carry that we really want, but we can buy those ourselves.
