Thank you gift ideas for realtor

Our realtor has made some concessions (waiving fees, covering certain costs), and has put in a lot of work on this transaction. She is basically doing the work of the buyer's agent as well (long story). So we wanted to send an extra thank you. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Not you - the person who always recommends the same cake company, using the same language.

Gift baskets always make good thank you gifts. Try putting together a basket of nice local foods from the area you bought your house in. Or if you're short on time, you could always order a premade gift basket online.

Sorry but this is just a little strange. Your Realtor is making a commission. This would be like giving your attorney a gift because they waived some fees. A thank you note is more than enough and a referral.

I've always received a gift from my realtor when I sell a house.

I would definitely not (and have not in the past) give my realtor a gift. It's the realtors' job to negotiate on your behalf -- it's a business relationship, regardless of how close you've become or how much extra work they've done for you (and we became quite close to our realtor in the end too). Whether it's an easy sale or a tough job to negotiate to close, it's their job and they are already getting paid a commission for the work. They should be the one giving YOU a gift at closing, once the deal is finished!

How about saying thank you with a gift basket ? Gift baskets are ideal thank you/appreciation gifts that are bound to impress the person you gift it to. Showing your appreciation with a high value gift really is also the upmarket approach, and the gourmet baskets really stand out. For example, you could gift her one of these gourmet gift baskets

There are many of these gourmet gift baskets available at Gourmet Gift Baskets ideal to gift your realtor and show your appreciation

You have this backwards. The realtor should give you a gift. You are the client.

you realtor should give YOU a gift. they are likely getting paid huge amounts of money for relatively little work. Ours made close to 30K when we bought our house.

My best friend is a very successful listing agent and she works very hard, thank you! That said, the best gift really is to refer anyone and everyone looking for an agent. If you find an agent with a high quality of service, then that is a person who doesn't want to gouge you on this deal. They want to you to be so impressed with them that you and all your friends and family give them your business for years to come.

The realtor gives you a gift. They earn a pretty penny for working hard to close on your place.
