Jumping on beds in hotel rooms?

Finally! A sane person!

My kids always take a few jumps when we check into a hotel. NBD!

Just no. My kids have more fun in their lives than destroying others' property.

I've never thought about this! My kids would not even consider jumping on their own beds or mine. But when we go into a hotel room they can't resist the urge. What is it about hotel room beds that makes kids want to jump on them? Of course I tell them to stop but really, it happens every time! Funny.

Funny? It's asinine. What else would you think was cute -- throwing the lamps out the window?

You people really are bizarre.

I've never even heard of doing this. I guarantee if your kids are in the room above me jumping on the bed, I will be calling the front desk and security will be paying you a visit.

Don't be a jerk-- you're not only disturbing other guests, you're damaging hotel property.

Oh, you are just laughable.

Kids have been doing this on vacation for decades.

My toddler jumps on the bed.

One of her favorite nursery rhymes is '5 little monkeys jumping on the bed...' Of course, the moral of the story is completely lost on her.

And yes, I would let her jump on a hotel bed.

Unbelievable.

PPs are giving us a clear picture of how all the little shits mentioned in other threads became little shits.

Your kids have no doubt thought about it and realized that you're an inconsiderate moron who would think it's funny if they did it.

And in 10 years, from this PP, "... and my 17 year old boy was just arrested for stealing something from a store! And he constantly talks back to me! I've never thought about this! My kids would never even consider being disrespectful in the slightest when they were younger! But now they can't resist the urge. Of course I tell him to stop but really, it happens every time! Funny. Oh but what's not funny is that my 15 year old girl is totally flunking and she just told me she might be pregnant! To this deadbeat punk that my son hangs out with! I never thought she would get herself into a situation like that. And she has a fresh mouth too! What is it about kids acting like they've had no parenting? Funny."

My kids do, although we allow it at home as well so there's less novelty to jumping on the hotel's beds.

I've joined them as well on occasion.

I just looked at my facebook. Someone I know from high school has a photo of her and her two kids jumping "breaking in the hotel room" (jumping on the bed.) She's not a small person (I'm guessing about 150 lbs.) Her kids are about 8 and 11 years old.
WTH?

Do YOU do this in hotels? Do you jump on beds in your own home?
So what, her and her kids were jumping on beds in a hotel room. No, I've never done it with my kids but it clearly brought her and her kids some joy so what's the harm? And honestly, you sound like a smug b&Tch for saying the bolded. What exactly does her being 150lbs have to do with this at all. And FTR, that does not mean she is "big". Seriously, people need to get a life and stop being so pretentious.

+1000

This is clearly posted to make fun of her (normal) weight.

NP. I call the front desk too. I don't travel for fun - it's business - and don't need the headaches.

Only DCUM could blow something this small this way out of proportion.

what a bunch of party poopers and judgemental boobs.

jumping on the bed in a hotel room lasts like 2 minutes and it is fun for my kids. the best time was when we were in this hotel in Minnesota and they had 3 beds in one room...
