I don't know. My big baby (95-99 percentiles still, at age 3) hit every milestone on the early side of average. Crawled at 6 months, walked at 9.5 months. Sat up at 4 months with some assistance, but on his own at 5 months. Was bearing weight on his legs pretty much immediately. He was huge and chubby.
My second child is "tall" and skinny and at 5 months still isn't sitting up even while assisted really, so definitely won't be crawling in a month. |
| My two were both over 95%ile in height/weight and crawled around 8 months. |
| My 95+% baby sat up at 4 months, crawled at 6.5-7, and walked at 10. She's always been meaty and solid, but not rolls upon rolls fat that would hinder her movement. For kids without tone issues or anything, I think it's about motivation more than anything else. |
Yeah makes sense. She wasn't really motivated before. Now she's really trying and she's just having trouble. |

Back to sleep has delayed crawling, sitting up, walking. This is because it takes children longer to develop neck/core muscles when they aren't doing "push ups."
