I'd say for most people driving after drinking, it's much less about being "cheap" (billionaire or regular Jane/Joe), and more about pride - "I can handle it" or "I'm fine" or "I don't need the inconvenience."

Stupid, selfish people. Not necessarily cheap, though.

Yep, if you are tiger woods, there are people (managers, agents, etc.) you can call ANY TIME who will send someone in that will drive you, put you in a hotel etc. without you lifting a finger or paying more to these people than you already have.

But it's a pride thing, and a bad judgment thing. Explains why pro sports teams have numbers you can call any time to get you out of potential DUI situations, but people don't call them.

With all the surgery he's had---abuse of prescription opiods was my guess on the last page. Looks like I might be correct.

Well, when you have an "unexpected" reaction to prescription drugs, you do not get behind the wheel of a car. He should not have been driving.

Police did not smell booze on him and he was on shoulder of road asleep with blinker on.

http://wjla.com/news/entertainment/report-tiger-woods-smelled-of-alcohol-car-in-middle-of-road

don't know why the link above says smelled of alcohol because article it is associated with says the exact opposite, no odors:

Golfer Tiger Woods had to be woken up on the morning of his arrest for DUI, according to the police report from Jupiter Police.

Police also found his black Mercedes stopped in the roadway in the right hand lane with the engine running, brake lights illuminated and the right blinker flashing.

The officer said Woods was the only one in the car. He was in the driver's seat with his seat belt on. The officer said he had "slow and slurred" speech, according to the report.

However, the officer wrote in the report there were no "odors," according to police.

I am guessing he was so hopped up out of his mind that he couldn't make rational decisions. Sounds like drug abuse.

He may have been trying to hide from others just how high he really was.

Perhaps he realized he was having a bad reaction while he was driving and thus pulled over to the side of the road to sleep it off.

I'm amazed at his mug shot. It doesn't look like him AT ALL. WTF. Even his skin is a lighter tone. Did they get the mug shots mixed up or something?

amazing how people bash someone who is so much more successful than all but 2 golfers, He has won 79 tournaments Sam Snead won He won 14 majors and Jack Nicklaus won 18 but only 73 tournaments. Tiger did it in 18 years, Sam Snead did it in 30 years and Jack in 25.

Is he perfect no neither are any of the others mentioned and look how this forum embraces all the others who use prescription drugs, prince the dude that died last week, Michael Jackson etc etc. You just don't like him because he screwed around on his wife. He competes, he wins money, he, like 99% of athletes and celebrities do not care about people.

the closest active golfer to his win total is nearing the end of his career with 42 wins and they is Phil Michelson.

and oh, he blew a 0.0
