Langley to add PK3 classroom

Did anyone get a call or email from Langley today? I did not, but maybe they only called people higher on the list?

Great news for the neighborhood and I hope this makes the Seaton WL move faster as well.

Is it the DCPS free aftercare (aka videos and snacks while the workers spend the entire time reading their phones?)

There is that but also Springboard. It seems they mainly play on the playground or else in the smaller gym, but also do coloring story time, blocks, and sand table. Beforecare is Springboard as well.

Has anyone gotten a call yet?

Call the school if you are interested. It sounds like they need 7 new students to get the 3rd class. I imagine you can get a spot if you want it.

Stop making it sound like you can call and enroll. The school has to work down the wait list in order.

Yes PP should call and check in. But that won't 'get you in' if your number isn't the next in line.

I know someone who got the call and is enrolling. Good luck everyone, I hope the list moves!

We were 6 on the Langley ES waitlist and got a call last week. Enrolled on Friday, I'm really excited. We had a spot at Burroughs ES before Langley.

Congrats, PP. We are still pretty far down the list but it has moved a lot so we are hopeful.

What was your original number? This is a tough year if people are still not in at Langley.

We added post-lottery because we only got our IB (Walker-Jones) and some friends got Langley and are feeling good about it.

Why do you prefer it over Burroughs, PP?
