Bottled water consumed at home

I hate bottled water because it's so unnecessary and it fillls our landfills and oceans with unbiodegradable waste that slowly leeches PET into our water system and eventually into our children's bodies.

Why are you even buying bottled water? Weird.

If I have to drink from one I dump out the plastic tasting chemically water inside and refill from a faucet or water fountain. God only knows what leaches into bottled water and yeah I'm sure Dasani/PepsiCo says it's safe as can be.

We also have a faucet filter and filtered refrigerator water. I use that for cooking and pets.

My advice ? Call him before he comes for his weekly visit and tell him to pick up a case on his way. Do this every week,

Why do you give your pets water that is likely healthier than the water you are drinking?

I wouldn't worry about the environment, that ship has sailed.

I hope you do your research and buy that bottled water from a place that actually filters it. Most of the bottled water is just that. Bottled tap water. The quality is better if you refill reusable bottles with your tap water that you filter. I hate when ignorant people ruin the environment.

he is a guest. you can afford 1 bottle of water a week if you host this regularly and the environment won't suffer.

You are seriously agonizing that this occasional visitor deprives you of a bottle of water.

NP here. I don't drink the fridge water because I like room temp water. I drink bottled at home.

Tomorrow (and every Sunday hereafter,) make sure that your fridge is "out" of bottled water.

Hide it when he comes over.

Easy peasy.
Problem solved.

There is no excuse for drinking bottled water. It's the very definition of selfish. Why on earth would you intentionally add plastic to our landfills? Drink tap water. Or if you really must, buy a filter.

Leave the Brita pitcher on the counter. This is what I do because I prefer room temp water too.

Get a Brita and leave it on the counter.
