Well, I'm white and the most racist people I know are white, and a few are Asian. Because I am white and from the south, people assume I am as racist as they are. My Facebook feed looked like a KKK rally after the election, thanks to my private high school friends. The more expensive the university, the more people who have been insulated from others can continue to be insulated. Not all private universities are this way, but a notable part of the student body can be. |
That's because DC and MD is still the South. Mon dieu!
|
I still think my education was solid. Got me where I wanted to go. I'm quite happy and successful, though probably not by your standards. |
You can pay $200,000 for a Honda Civic, but why would you? |
|
Why are bananas racist?
Goofy. |
Yeah triggered. Not a racist thing |
| OP lost me at "four year vacation in Spring Valley." That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It ain't South Beach, you know. |
Says the person who'd be easily triggered by certain words. |
Because gorillas eat bananas? I bet people eat bananas more than gorillas do. Besides, what's wrong with gorillas? |
|
| I'm not getting the banana thing. |
I had a partial scholarship. But I'm sure you still think I suck. |
|
What if the person who placed the bananas turns out to e African-american ???
This all would be much to do about nothing. |
| There are certainly a lot of racist incidents in the US. That's not surprising in a country of 325 million people. Social media makes it possible for every incident to go viral. But the reality is that you are probably a 100 times more likely to get hit by lightning than shot by a police officer. I'm not excusing police brutality, but I am saying that just because you see a lot of racist incidents in your Facebook feed doesn't meant that everyone is constantly being racist to you, personally. There are thousands of car accidents every year. That doesn't mean that most cars are faulty. |
See Asians, particularly Koreans. |
