| Services brutal fir SN kids in middle and high school. If i could start over I would NEVER have exposed my kids to the horrific bullying. just my opinion |
Hi this is OP. PP can you clarify for me what you mean? How would avoid exposure to bullying? By not having an IEP? Or were you talking about a certain school in particular that you would avoid? |
Thanks for sharing your experience and for your input. |

OP - it's hard not to worry, but try not to. Buy the house you want in a decent school district. Wooten is good, so are many others in MCPS.
I have two kids that are special needs. One is in public in a similar MCPS high school. He has been in public the whole time, has had lots of support from the school and we have paid for outside therapists, doctors, etc. My other was also in public but it wasn't working and I pulled him out for private. Yes, I paid for us to live in good MCPS neighborhood but it didn't work for him. That's ok too - we decided we could afford it, we agreed it was the best thing and we moved him. You just don't know - put yourself in a good spot where public is an option and you can see how it all works out with the many factors like your kid, you, your finances, options, etc. |
