KY and getting pregnant

I heard that too, about KY, but I'm not sure where or whether it was reliable info. We used AstroGlide instead; it was supposed to be better. Got pregnant quickly both times (3 months, then 2 months).

For all three pregnancies, we used olive oil (read about it somewhere). We got pregnant within 2-3 months each time - the most recent pregnancy conceived when I was a late 38 years old, the first when I was 35.

Hey, all those Italians can't be wrong!

I have seen Pre-Seed for sale at CVS.

I used preseed after reading many success stories with it (even though I was going through IVF at the time thought I'd try that) and it is available on drugstore.com

it is a little pricey 20 dollars

More info on how common lubricants inhibit sperm motility:

We switched from Astroglide to Pre-seed when TTC, fwiw. It's available for sale at a pharmacy in Gaithersburg. You can view their vendors from their Web site, I believe.

good luck!

I've never seen pre-seed at cvs, but they have something similar -- called conceive I think? it's with the other lubricants. got pregnant with no. 1 using pre-seed and no. 2 using the stuff from cvs.

Totally ignorant here . . . if you are not experiencing dryness, does lub make much of a difference when it comes to conceiving?

13:28, all I'm saying is that there's sex, and then there's sex with Astroglide. It's not a conception thing, just (just?!) an enjoyment one. Get thee to a CVS, girl!

I've read differing theories on whether it is better to go au naturel or use preseed if you don't have dryness problems. Some people think that ANY lube, even preseed, can impair sperm. Others think that preseed gives the swimmers a good environment. Personally, if I had plentiful cervical fluid, I probably would have skipped the preseed, but since I don't, I used it and it worked fabulously for me.
