He's got the loyalty of the green team, which turns out some votes. The usual suspects aren't close enough.

I thought Leon Andrews was a great candidate. Really hoping he'll still be interested (https://www.petworthnews.org/blog/conversation-leon-andrews-ward-4-council)

Leon Andrews is smart and qualified, but not very charismatic. I think he'd have a hard time winning an election.

I'm a Ward 4 resident and I'm very displeased with Brandon Todd. I can't point to a single solid accomplishment from his office. He is deaf to concerns about crime, schools, and development. He offers no resistance or negotiation to Bowser's disproportionate placement of homeless shelters or juvenile detention facilities in the Ward. I wish he could be booted out, and I honestly don't know why he has enough community support to have won his election.

I'm not a fan of his, but he did at least get Momma's bill passed, to help protect animals in dangerous weather. At least it was *something*? But would much prefer another member. Andrews!

Things are getting worse for Todd. Problems have been found with his 2016 reelection campaign:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-politics/more-contributions-to-dc-council-member-cannot-be-tracked-to-source/2017/04/16/a1ee4850-2131-11e7-ad74-3a742a6e93a7_story.html

The best part of this article is this:

But Todd’s use of a personal credit card issued by Navy Federal Credit Union means he accumulated more than 46,000 rewards points in 2016, according to a statement he provided to regulators in November. Those points can be redeemed for cash, gift cards, travel or merchandise, according to the bank’s website.

City law prohibits a candidate from personally profiting from a campaign.

LOL, he used his personal credit card in order to illegally earn rewards points.

Same here. Brandon Todd is terribly ineffective and his constituent services is a joke. We definitely need a change in Ward 4.

New update that somehow the Master File for Todd’s campaign has gone missing from the Office of Campaign Finance - it just can’t be located:

“File at the center of campaign audit of D.C. Council member is missing, officials say” (https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/dc-politics/file-at-the-center-of-campaign-audit-of-dc-council-member-is-missing-officials-say/2017/05/11/4d766d5c-35bd-11e7-b373-418f6849a004_story.html?utm_term=.ce52be4a8db3)

Such files are normally in a locked cabinet but hasn’t been seen in weeks.

AG Karl Racine has had discussion with the US Attorney about a possible investigation. AND after Todd served as Bowser’s campaign treasurer 2014, he signed her campaign handlers onto his team, including using the same treasurer.

Please, can someone bring back the good old days of Marion Barry?

AG needs to look into Ben Soto, Todd and Bowser's campaign treasurer.

Agree. I hope they all go to jail.

Please explain what Brandon Todd does all day. Seriously. There was a deadly shooting in his ward yesterday. Crickets. Entire ward under construction and traffic nightmare. No reaction. A rabbi from his ward interrupts a council meeting to protest, e.g., Todd’s complacency re, Trayon White. Todd chomps down a sandwich. His raison d’etre seems to be to provide zero oversight re: Bowser who handpicked him. What happened to the investigation against him for campaign finance violations?

I got an email today inviting Ward 4 residents to his 35th birthday party. 35?! I thought this dude was a lot older than that.

All of the eyeliner he wears makes him look older.

He was outside of my kids school, Powell, handing out pencils if you walked or biked today.

There was a shooting outside Takoma Station....no response from Mr. Todd, but glad he is using his birthday as a fundraiser and handing out pencils.
