Work (outlook) and two personal and family (gmail) calendars

This seems like a great idea. Then, as kids get older they can see/add as well. But, does this not become yet another calendar? Or, can you "overlay" it like the person did above?

We use Cozi too, and I have not yet discovered how to overlay it with Gmail or Outlook, so for us it is yet another calendar that i have reenter appointments in.

At this point I do use my work calendar for everything. Partner and I send each other calendar invites that affect the other like kids events, late work nights, travel. I can't see managing two calendars.

Explain why you have two personal gmail calendars? Cant this be reduced to one family calendar?

On outlook, like a pp said, just invite your gmail to anything thta might affect family hours.

You'd love us, PP. Every member of my family has their own google calendar, including each kid individually. Also, the cat and the dog. Plus my extended family has a shared calendar that we use to track family birthdays and other events (I have a very large extended family and I'd never remember otherwise). Then DH and I and both have our work google calendars. When I look at my calendar window, I can see at a single glance who has what when, including the dang cat.

Cozi can be imported into outlook. Mine is set up so in outlook I see my work calendar and cozi side by side. BUT I've never tried having info flow from outlook to cozi. I think it's possible, but I'm too scared of messing up outlook to try it.

You can subscribe to your spouse's gmail calendar and vis a versa. My husband and I have shared gmail calendars since we were dating.

We manually post work trip dates on our personal calendar, but if you have too many for that to be hassle free, then just add your personal email to the invite on your work calendar event. It'll autopopulate on your personal calendar.
