OP here. This is what I was wondering if I should do (or not!)

Agree with PP. Yeah she's being passive aggressive and it's annoying to have to be the bigger person, but it will be easier for you if you ignore the undertones and just respond graciously. Don't lean into the drama.

Why do you need DCUM to respond a text from your sis????

Grow up and come back.

Do you have generally very complicated family dynamics? This is something that my sister would totally have texted and I would have responded with a sad emoji. Equally, I would have texted it to her with the same response. Because sharing this kind of info is what sisters do, just like they offer to watch each others' kids. Shit happens (maybe literally in this case) and you just roll with it, no need to give it another thought.

My sister exposed my 3 children to chicken pox knowing full well that one of her kids had started with it. When I asked why she did that she said, it doesn't matter, they are going to get it at some time or the other anyway.

Just say "Oh no! Timmy got it, too? Poor guy. I hope he feels better soon!"

"Ugh I'm so sorry he caught the pukes! I'm betting now, if you need me to take your other kid so she doesn't catch the pukes."

But then the pukes will come back to OP's household.
