If people don't RSVP to a party, does that mean they are not going to the party?

I know it's a pain, but the only real way to know is the call to double check in a nice way. The upside is that you will politely make them feel like an ass!

Some people aren't sure if they can go and are waiting to find out, others just forget, others are flat out rude.

I had to check in with one person who hadn't RSVPd to my daughter's party and she was able to go....

One thing that helps on your invites is to make sure you include an email address as a means to RSVP. People who only provide a phone number for the RSVP will get a higher rate of non-RSVPs. Over 90% of people respond by email.

It also a pet peeve of mine, mostly because I take it personal like a rejection of me or my kid. I once had someone not rsvping for an event that required a head count by a certain day to reserve tickets. Well the person called me a day before the event and said he wouldn't come because he observes the Sabath. That annoyed me because that is something he surely knew all along!
