It's on CNN so seems like it's real news. People do date while separated usually meaning the marriage is done. Helping your brothers widow is one thing but dating her while you are still married (separated) is going to create drama for the family. Hunter can't really go back to his wife after this, especially IF they started dating before or early after the separation. And Hallie won't be happy if he does get back with his wife.Why didn't they wait until he's divorced? They must have known this would make the news.

It's sad for the wife left on the outside and her kids to see their dad with uncle's wife and kids living together, not them. I don't see how the parents can feel that this is a blessing for everyone. Oh well, life can get messy even for very privileged people.

The Daily Mail is such a poor excuse for a "newspaper" that Wikipedia recently issued a policy that it will not accept the Daily Mail as a source citation on anything. Period.

I'm not saying the story doesn't have some truth to it, because I don't know and don't care. But I would not trust anything reported by the Daily Mail to be accurate.

Someone said it was on CNN as well, but if CNN was only citing the Daily Mail, well....I'd still reserve judgement. And it would be pitiful of CNN to report it as news. It just isn't.

It's typical of one of the British tabloid rags to drag totally irrelevant personal crap like this out as if it's "news." Who cares what these people get up to? Unless any relationship affects, say, a public position or business that one of them leads, then it's not news, it's just an indirect dig at the Bidens as a family for...well, why, exactly? It doesn't matter and it also doesn't matter if people on DCUM think it's awful or it's great.

We used to live in England, and the Mail and Sun et.al. exist just to retail famous (and merely semi-famous-by-association) people's personal lives as cheap thrills.

If it is true that Hunter was already separated from Kathleen when he became romantically involved with Hallie then his relationship with Hallie was not the reason for the split & it's not really accurate to say that he left his wife for his brother's widow.

As for Hunter's kids, how do you know he "left" them? For all we know, his wife could have initiated the separation. And regardless of whose decision it was to separate, the fact that he is no longer with his kids' mother does not automatically mean he is an absentee father. Plenty of separated/divorced fathers continue to be active & involved parents, especially now that 50/50 custody arrangements have become the norm.
