Plus, it's not even really legit to tout as "southern heritage" - the Confederacy only lasted less than 5 years. 5 devastating and destructive years is all the South has to talk about?

The Confederate flag did not represent a "hostile foreign entity." The Confederacy like those who organized the American Revolution had no status as a country.

Their tears were pathetic. Kudos to the mom for forgiving them because I have no sympathy for them.

They pointed guns at the party goers and said they would kill the n!99**s and n word babies. They drove their trucks ON the woman's property, a grandmother holding a birthday party for a little kid. One party goer was quoted "my only were these people are going to start shooting and we won't have enough time to get all the children inside the house". They had driven around the area for two days, drunk, screaming at black people wherever they went. Why in the world they weren't arrested is beyond me. If I was at that party I would be terrified those people, who were armed, would come back later and kill me.

I am shook to my core. Things like this should NEVER happen, especially to children. I guess this is Trump's America

Kayla Norton and Jose Torres, who have three children, were part of a larger group in July 2015 called Respect the Flag.

Some of you Trump haters really go to great lengths to support your feelings. Don't make shit up when there is plenty available to criticize him on.

They deserve every year in jail they get. These people are menaces and animals. I can't even imagine how terrified that family was - or those children. Good riddance. Hopefully the prison door doesn't hit them on the way in.

So...your only comment on this whole thread is to rebut the one sentence about Trump?

My guess is that this isn't the first time at least one of them has been incarcerated.

Source? List them all for the last twelve months.

The southern poverty law center has looked into this, but I'm guessing you don't regard them as a credible organization. The Herotage Foundation has not stufied this yet, sorry.

Southern Poverty lists self reported hate crimes with no evidence along with real cases. Their numbers aren't accurate.

Not either PP. What is bigoted about posting the truth? There are a number of reported hate crimes on there that were debunked. SPLC used to be far more careful.

No question, though. This crime deserved to be considered a hate crime--awful.
Anonymous
SPLC is the only source we have until the end of the year. The FBI takes nearly a year to compile the statistics. Probably due to the time for cases to run through investigation and be submitted by all of the counties to the states, and states to the FBI.

How do you know this is my only comment? But even if it were, while I abhor racism, I do believe the OP's intent was to tie this to Trump who has absolutely nothing to do with this incident nor racism in this country. Based on their comment and the date of the offensive and now deemed criminal behavior shouldn't they have stated this was Obama's America?
