Are you or anyone you know boycotting watching the Oscars?

This. I am mildly interested in the outcome but not the process. I have better things to do with my evening, including scrubbing the sink. I will read about the outcome tomorrow and look at pictures of the dresses and that's plenty for me!

I have tuned in occasionally in the past but not this year. Tired of the stupid speeches and the holier-than-thou attitudes of some of these artists. They have a microphone because they are presumably good actors. I don't need to see an actor play a politician.
I also am sick of the constant award shows. Nothing like a little self-congratulatory show so actors can get a microphone and act a little more.

Now, when they start to have shows that award teachers, or public servants awards (not political servants), I might watch.

Hopefully those complaining about political soapboxes in Entertainment didn't also vote for the TV Cheeto - hypocrisy is worst of the worst.

Did not vote for the orange one, but he is not a hypocrite.

He is a hypocrite, because he and his supporters are telling entertainers to shut up about politics. When he was an entertainer who would not shut up about politics.

Yes, that would be a truly exciting television show.

Unless you are a Nielsen household, no one will know if you're boycotting.

I probably won't watch because I can't stand to see La La Land win a bunch of awards.

And I bet these same fools voted for a reality star to be their president. The Oscars will go on without all of you, they will be watched by a wide audience, and no one will give a damn that a handful of people didn't tune in.

You my friend are the idiot . YES A number of people that attend my daughters school as well as many people in my workplace are BOYCOTTING the Oscars! you heard right… Let me explain. It is not that they are not just not watching itt. They normally DO watch it but are refusing to watch it or support it in any way. So idiot yes they ARE boycotting it.

Because that really makes a difference.

I'm surprised so many people watch. I have zero interest.

Yes, I am also boycotting the real housewifes, the golf channel, QVC and cartoon network. That will show them!

Sorry, idiot, but you're the only fool here. Unless they are Nielsen households, they aren't boycotting anything. Whether they view it or not, doesn't matter. It won't change anything. Nobody will notice they didn't watch. They won't have any sort of impact. So their boycott is absolute bullshit. As is your continued defense of something that IS NOT A BOYCOTT.

Actually the only other way you could truly "boycott" if you're not a Neilson house, is if you have an invitation to attend in person.

ha ha ha ha ha.

slow clap.

Nope. Not watching. Don't care.

Oh but he is...or a liar? take your pick.

I'm not boycotting, I am just not going to watch it. Meryl Streep soooo gets on my nerves, she needs to come off her soap box. That "greatest actress bs ever" has truly gone to her head.

I get it, I also dont' like when celebrities many who are not even educated try to stand on their soapbox preaching to the choir, but I also enjoy the show, the fashion, seeing who wins, etc..and if someone starts ranting like Meryl (ugh) I take a bathroom break or go make a snack. Not a big deal. I think these who boycott the show are as bad as the celebrities..a bunch of babies!

I am a baby because I don't idolize these stupid idiots who shout at me from their little podium? Enjoy watching the fakeness of hollywood, fake boobs, botox and all, isn't that what you tell your little girls not to idolize and here you are preaching from your soapbox because some people just don't care about these over paid babies. Enjoy your kind!
