Well, if it's important to you, it must be important to everyone. |
| My older kids (7 and 5) are GROSS and smelly by bedtime. Showers in the morning are pointless. |
|
I MUCH prefer everyone clean themselves before going to bed. Showering in the evening allows the beds to be kept clean, with minimal allergens staying inside the bedrooms. We are also a no-shoe house. |
I'm the PP who doesn't wash hair every day. I hop in, get wet, soap up, shave underarms, rinse, and hop out. Maybe 5 minutes tops. It helps me wake up. I enjoy a much longer shower on the weekends or evenings. |

DS started showering in the morning when he was 8. By then he was completely independent. I don't think we could have managed otherwise. If he has practice or is really dirty he will also take a quick one at night but I have to force him. He prefers mornings.
Younger DD needs help with her hair and showers at night. DH and I have only ever showered in the morning. I can't imagine doing it at night. I'm exhausted and I wouldn't feel awake all day without a shower. |
| 16:13. I'm up by 5:30 and ready around 6. DS is showered and ready by 7 and DH sometime around then too. . All of us leave between 7-7:30. We have 3 bathrooms so it helps. |
| I have an 11yo boy and he showers in the morning before school and has since second grade. It wakes him up and he likes showering in the morning. If he gets dirty during the day he can get a quick shower in the evening too. We leave the house at 9. I get up at 7 and get my shower and start getting ready. He gets up at 8 and takes his shower and then has breakfast and finishes getting ready. We leave at 9 and have had the same routine for 4 years without any problems. |

Do people only shower in the morning in TV and movies?
DH and I shower in the morning. Kids, 3 and 7, shower or bath at night. I take showers when they're awake in the morning and they mill around in their rooms doing whatever. Not a huge deal. |
