I'm turning 37 in June, why do IVF nurses keep saying I'm young

Anonymous
I was the same age during my first cycle and my acupuncturist said the same. When I asked her about it, she said the median age of her fertility patients was 42.

Out RE called us "babies" and we were 34!!! DH happily agreed that he's a baby and possibly too young for fertility treatments, or even children for that matter. I was so mad.

36-37 is on the older side to have a baby (overall, not so much in certain high COL areas) but is probably a bit on the younger side for IVF patients (especially in higher COL areas).

Ha! It's all about fertility patterns for the area. I have a friend doing IVF in Mexico City who is in her late thirties and apparently there most clients are almost a decade younger (women having children at a younger age there on average.)

Maybe they see a lot of women who are much older.

Its better than being called old, which is what will happen when you get pregnant
