Weird. It's not like the AG is going to advise them to go against a court order. Of all people, the AG wouldn't.

I would think that that would get you disbarred.

Apparently, at the SoCal border crossings people trying to enter as lawful permanent residents are being asked to sign for I-407.

I-407 is the form you sign to acknowledge the voluntary relinquishment of your permanent residency status.

If this is true, these actions fall way beyond what Trump is leading you to believe. It is unconscionable to engage in this sort of fraud.

Is your friend working with the ACLU and/or the media at all? This sounds all too credible, and it needs to come out.

I heard this happened to people on a flight -- they had to stay on it until they signed.

Please explain? Are you saying that Somali or Iraqi Green Card holders (one of the seven nations) are in Mexico, trying to enter California, and are being asked to relinquish their green card or stay in Mexico???!!!

Yes I know the press is involved and the reporter is being thoroughly stonewalled.

I'm in DC and don't know the details. Here's a Bloomberg article. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-01-30/airlines-scramble-to-adjust-to-trump-s-new-world

Also airlines are being forced to change pilots and cabin crew. FFS. This is insane.

Muslim US Citizens as well as legal visitors/residents NOT from the 7 countries are being detained.

It's one thing for me to sit here, in my home, candidate marvel at how our government is failing to operate properly. But people are being seriously affected by this. And the lawlessness is still going on. It's not stopping.

CBP stands for customs and border protection

Patrol not protection

Was Kelly (or spicer) asked about this in press conferences or in any other context? Seems so odd that this is not getting much attention.

OP was confusing it with the store at her local mall. She's of the same ilk that would call the Marine Corps the Marine Corpse.

It seems that things are still problematic at LAX.

When will this story get traction?

So I am a legal green card holder not from one of the seven countries flying through LAX the next two weeks. Not brown, yellow. At this point should all gc holders play it safe and just cancel their trips.

Honestly? Yes. The rumors are the next round of immigration-related EOs will focus on non-Muslims and they are going to start kicking out people who they deem as threatening to US jobs and anyone who's received any type of publication assistance. You may think that doesn't apply to you but without details on how they are defining things or how broad they are going I'd play it safe.
