I don't see why everyone's insisting on "armed."?

As the women's March proved, an unarmed militia is just as effective, if not more so.

Just organize a DC militia without guns.

Yep! That's how we defeated the British, twice! With unarmed militias. All those farmers and shopkeepers and blacksmiths and carpenters heard the town crier calling, and ran to grab their signs and banners. Then they went out and protested the British into surrendering!

Actually, we defeated them by getting the French and Spanish to fight on our side. There's no way a citizen militia can defeat the greatest military power of the day, not in 1776 and not today. Gun nuts hate to admit this but it's true.

I'd rather see an amendment attached to any DC open carry legislation in Congress to extend open carry to the Capitol complex itself. Let's see all of these chicken-hawk so-called Second Amendment GOP folks put their money where their mouth it!
