| Even the White House has mice. It's the city, it is what it is. Just sweep up the droppings and keep it moving. As long as I don't see them , I'm fine. The mice and I have an agreement - we stay out of each other's way????????? |
OMG.
|
Most of the vermin are at 1200 1st St., NE. Let's listen to them tell us here how it's no big deal having vermin in the classroom and cafeteria. DC Health would close down any such infested restaurant, but no not DCPS - it gets hidden with no report. |
Gross all around. For what it's worth I went to a meeting at a really well regarded DCPS (community meeting, not related to the school). Every few seconds we'd see a mouse. Disturbing. |
| With a city with a budget surplus of $221M this is unacceptable. Eliminate the source of food and you'll eliminate rats and mice. |
Problems due to cutting back on custodians at most schools. |
I think the problem has more to do with children eating in their classrooms due to lack of cafeteria space. When your cafeteria is also your gym, your multipurpose room, your music room, etc., it's nearly impossible to schedule grades 1-5 to eat even in shifts at any reasonable hour. |
