I have two kids coats that are practically new with broken zippers. I’d love to find someplace that does this low cost or free so I can donate the coats! |
My down jacket only required a “reset” by the seamstress to align the teeth. NO charge, but I tipped her $10. In the future I’ll get a kit or at least ask to try this before replacing one. |
I had a zipper replaced on a suede boot and it was only $30. I've had the boots for 15 years. Why would you buy a new coat? |
My kid’s North Face jacket is being fixed as I type. To replace the whole zipper would have been $65. Instead, for $10 the seamstress is stitching a new stopper so the zipper doesn’t fall off. |
Men’s coat 30 inch zipper was $60. |
I thought Patagonia fixed for free. |
Seriously? For Patagonia brand clothes. |
Ah, the magic of DCUM. I posted FIVE YEARS AGO that I had a couple brand new kids' coats with broken zippers that I wanted to replace and donate. Happy to see this thread and that people are posting some prices, because -- guess what? I STILL HAVE THE COATS sitting in my closet. I didn't realize it had been five years. But I guess it was before the pandemic, so here we are. Should we check back in in another 5 years? |
