When he turns it down

Yuck! She is so lucky to have you in her life? Sex is an emotional attachment to someone before it is physical, especially in a marriage. If you don't crave that intimacy with her, she should know and you should leave.

Are you making your desire to get it on VERY clear? Maybe he's missing the signal?

For us, this would be a sign that he's seriously pissed at me and/or cheating. He never turns down sex (except when sick). Even when he has a cold he's still after it.

Yup. DH has turned me down exactly twice in our 20 year marriage. Both times he was super pissed, and I was trying to sex my way out of it. Fail.

NP here. Intimacy changes. Lifetime monogamy is not normal for the typical male hardwiring. It can lead to problems and trying to pretend it is easy to overcome mentally is denial. Admitting the situation and talking about it is the beginning of actual intimacy for many men.

Chris Rock has a famous bit about this.

I don't get it myself. You guys think women don't want novelty and/or a more attractive partner? But we're good at closing our eyes and fantasizing.

I actually think novelty and excitement are more important for women. Men can get excited even by seeing the same ass, because, you know, it's an ass. Women need a lot more and the same ol' crap ain't cutting it.

If you knew anything about human sexuality, you would also know that female monogamy isn't "normal."

Man here. In over 20 years of marriage I never got tired of sex with the ex. I'd rather do it with her than anyone. But being turned down for the 5,000th time got old, and by the end I didn't want her anymore because she'd been treating me so badly.

Gotcha. Judging from the porn, stripper club and escort business it appears to be exponentially more difficult for men.

There's no nice way to say this, but maybe you're just not that good.

Never turn it down when sick. Marvin Gaye knows why.

I'm going to copy and paste this and reply to every thread a man makes about his wife not duty-banging him and watch the anger and outrage roll in.
