Korean woman here, mid 40's... I regret not using sunscreen. Now, I have age spots, and the skin around my eyes are saggy. I noticed this around mid 30's, especially after having kids. In this one instance, I wish I had listened to my 76 yr old mother who still has very smooth, flawless skin. But, she was not an outdoorsy person like I was. |
Has anyone had success treating/removing age spots? |
Also Korean mid-40s. Started getting wrinkly forehead mid-30s. Started getting wrinkly neck early 40s. Not a lot widows peak or crows feet yet - but it started to happen around late 30s
Was just asked if I wanted filler for my laugh lines. They're definitely getting worse, but I still have chubby cheeks even though I'm slim but not toned. I think early 40s was the big turning point, in my 30s people would guess anywhere from 5-10 years younger and were sometimes shocked at my true age. Now, people say I look young, but nobody is actually surprised by my age anymore. |
I think I stopped looking timeless in my early 50's but still good approaching 60 and menopause is way behind me. Loved that cartoon series. |
Oh, good, another thread about race and the aging process. |
Lol! I'm half-Asian. My mom has said that Asian women don't really age until very late, but when they do, it's pretty rapid. Hoping this is not true! ![]() |
Not sure. I'm 37 and think I look my age but in the past two weeks, two different people thought I was 25-26. So who knows? |
Non Asian people have a hard time figuring out Asian women's ages unless they have been around lots of Asians for a long time. |
Bahahaha!!! Love it! My Chinese grandmother was like that. She never seemed to age until she hit 90, then all of a sudden, she shrank, her hair went totally white and she seemed so so frail when before she was a brick, sleeping on wooden platforms, etc. |
I don't think it has anything to do with skin care in Asia. I am in grad school with tons of Asians. Most of the moms I see in their late to early 30s look good but they look their age. Asians tend to wear girly/ cartoon clothes and still dress like teenagers for a long time. It's weird. |
It's true that Asian women don't have wrinkles but they do age and it shows in their facial features. It's weird and I don't know how to explain it but I can see it. |
Yep I agree +1 |
I am a 35 year old Chinese American and only started getting laughing lines on my eyes. However, I think it is because I had two kids recently. |
This is the best thing I've seen in a while and dead true. At 36, I have zero lines or signs of aging, but I know it's coming. My mother didn't start aging until she was about 55. |
Someone on reddit demonstrated this using his mother.
