"Fake News" is a result of Russian machine

I think that many of the responses in this forum about accepting nazism and pooh poohing these "conspiracies" are paid human trolls.

Americans cannot be this callous and stupid.

This might explain some of the pro-Trump troll posts on DCUM. Jeff, have you looked into this?

I don't understand your point. Are you saying you are okay with foreign intervention in US elections? Are you saying you don't believe the reports of foreign intervention are true?

Excellent question.

Huh?

I am honestly horrified by this, and anyone who isn't is anti-American. Period.

I said a while back to anyone who would listen to me, LOL, that there would come to a time, sooner than we expect, when scams, hoaxes, hacking, and illegal activity would become so widespread on the public internet that it would be indistinguishable from the Dark Net, and that normal, law-abiding citizens would be back to paper transactions with our banks and financial institutions, printed news, and IRL social interactions, not to mention paper, hand-counted ballots.

Looks like that time is coming sooner than even I expected. There is no other way to protect ourselves from this shit. None.

Here's a Russian bot.

My thought as well.

Silly Democrats. They thought they were talking about an election conducted by and for Americans.

So you're conceding that Manafort, Banning, et al. were coordinating with Putin?

The disconnect between Obama laughing at Romney in the 2012 debate about Russia and the current red scare is the biggest case of whiplash I've ever seen.

The NY Times did an excellent and horrifying story on Russian trolls a year and a half ago. Well worth reading.

And of course Samantha Bee had that fantastic segment where she went to talk to Russian trolls.

I don't think the Russian Troll Army is here. They are deployed in the Washington Post comments section, however. Any story about Russia in the Post is guaranteed a visit by the RTA.

Yup, this is thinly sourced nonsense, complete with "experts say"! Look up the list of 'fake news'/Russian propaganda sites: it's full of American-run independent sites (e.g. blackagendareport.com). And RT is such a bit player it is just hilarious to mention it. HRC and co. are proving what many of us have known for a while: they are basically mid-century, mid-western Republicans complete with their Calvinism and their Red Scares. LOL!
