Federal exodus

How can the federal government not be big enough. It's bigger than ever before. It's THE biggest employer in the world.

Here are the largest employers, behind the U.S. government:

China's People's Liberation Army, 2.3 million workers.
Walmart, 2.1 million.
McDonald's, 1.9 million.
UK National Health Service, 1.7 million.
China National Petroleum Corporation, 1.6 million.
State Grid Corporation of China, 1.5 million.

WTF, over???

More people get sick from contaminated food. It'll be great.

There's no one checking the contaminated food now. They're all in federal agencies in DC surfing the internet, yammering in meetings about the most inane shit and trying to figure out the proper pantone shade of red to use in the next interdepartmental logo for the new org chart (and reviewing if times roman courier new 12 is the proper font to express their mission... which is the inspection of peapods in the northwest Idaho sector). It's a very impotent job, doncha know!

Wow - so biting and edgy!

I did not mean enough people in terms of numbers, I meant in terms of willingness. Many things can be delayed by a lack of morale and motivation- and firing is not a great option eithe because then you need to replace to many people and who is going to train them, etc etc.

Wow, time to get rid of half of it's silly servants. It's a drain and we need to shrink the government and make it more agile.

Are you stuck in 1980? That's what it sounds like.

You don't need them or their work product in the first place. What is so difficult to grasp about this? You replace nothing. Just shut a lot of it down. It will never be missed.

No, I'm stuck in 2016, where GDP hovers around 2% because the more Washington does, the worse things get.

Just so we're all on the same page here. We're talking about State, Defense, CIA, mostly.

Look at the federal budget and see where most of the money is going. It's not to Feds. Now be wise like a bank robber and rob where the money is.

that's easy. Go to http://www.usdebtclock.org and look in the upper left corner in the section of "largest budget items. You'll see where most of the money is going. It's transfer payments.

So how is your darling Sessions going to prosecute Illegals and other criminals without DOJ employees?
How are we going to fight ISIS without CIA analysists? What about Medicare reimbursements? Oh yes, forgot GOP wants to get rid of that...oh no wait, President-Trum said he is going to keep it...hmm...

Helluva lot more than the CIA.

If a huge chunk of CIA and defense and NSA personnel leave all at once because of disgust with the incoming admin, are you going to celebrate? I'm sure ISIS and the Russians will.

Your workload will increase signficantly. But you knew that, of course.

And morale will be pretty dismal, but a businessman like Trump knows that morale... Oh, never mind.

Yup. That's what happened in every private industry job I had. if the business wasn't doing well, they laid off people and divided the work among those who remained. Morale wasn't good, but those of us who still has a job were thankful. Welcome to the real world.
