She was being "nasty" in that moment. Is it a situation where anything he said would be blown out of proportion because he's such a vile person. Or am I missing some underlying malice in the phrase?

She wasn't being nasty in that moment at all. And if you think she was, I can only hope marine what you thdid know of the fact that Trump constantly called her names-even to her face-this entire campaign.
He contends that he is proud that he used the tax laws to his advantage (as he calls it) so shouldn't be like that Clinton thinks he can find away to avoid even more payments?

Anyway, as soon as I heard him say it I knew "nasty women" would become a rallying cry. Because it echoes every insult thrown at every woman who doesn't "know her place." Why can't you be a nice girl and go what I say? Ugh.
If you can't see the layers, I can't help you. But it's all there. And it has nothing to do with needing a name for her team or the term "deplorables " at all.

Adding to my post-she wasn't talking about his non release of his tax returns either.

She wasn't being nasty in that moment. She had been asked a question about Medicare and Social Security. Not exactly the topic that gets either side really fired up.

IIRC, she was implying that Trump would find a way to get around paying his fair share once she increases the cap on mandatory social security contributions past $115K or whatever it is now.

I want a nasty woman cocktail. I hope it's a red drink. With a cherry.

I knew as soon as he said it that it would become a thing. It really is an excellent example of wtf is wrong with him.

It's also a thing because Trump just loves making up insulting names for people. He's shitty insult comic, not presidential material.

Stick to Twitter, Donald.

Different songs. Both have the word "nasty" in the titles.

It's not "from" either song. He said it and people related it to songs. They were saying "Madam President if you're nasty" because of Janet's song.

I just came out from running errands. Saw so many women wearing "Nasty Woman" t-shirts. Some of them should've put a bit of effort into their appearance. In many cases, the message was lost. It was almost like someone forced them to wear a scarlet letter.

No, the message want lost in the intended audience. And screw you for the "some of them should have put a bit of effort into their appearance " crap. Take that misogynistic view elsewhere.

I strongly disagree, she was debating him...discussing policy.

Versus Hillary naming the deplorable actions of of pretty significant percentage of his base.
