NP here but you can get apps that recalibrate the GPS in your phone to put you in a different location. That said, Tinder is pretty cheap so maybe it's better to pay a few bucks than mess around with your phone settings.

NP here and I had what you describe as a block and it let me back on a day or two later. I used a secondary facebook account and my e-mail address for spam so I'm not sure if they sent me any notifications.

That's really weird since I was a pretty light user of the app. I would have thought you needed a significant number of reports to be even partially banned.
