Because that's the claimed reason for a lot of women voting for Clinton. Something along the lines of "it's time we had a woman..." They call it "historic", for no other reason than Hillary gender-identifying as a woman.

Now I know, we dum wimmens shouldn't have noticed that Washington through Obama were men, as were almost all of everyone else and we certainly weren't totally excluded from voting till after the turn of the century and there's absolutely nothing historic about Hillary about to kick Donald's ass.
