So where do the lonely go????

Take most of your clothes off and dance around and laugh. That always makes me friends.

So you're into skipping lines when you right and waxing poetic and disjointed. You want to talk to a personable man.

You're coming across as really weird, OP. And that's online, not even in person!

So maybe put down the drink first.

Hmm. So many years and I still am clueless. Somehow you can figure out why I am wierd from a couple postings. Thanks ?

I will say it seems ok. It really does not matter. Today is a beautiful sun and sky. Ah yeahh life goes on long after the thrill of life is gone. Pretty good singer.

But f'ck You I still feel different and out of place and not sure how to change that

My my lyrical mind says you just references three different sings in your post. I dig your style. Maybe I'm weird too, OP.

Now a little ditty about Jack and Diane...

Spot on answer.

But even on the west coast people who are in a group are generally taken aback if someone approaches and starts talking.

Did you have friends when your children lived at home? Where are they now?
Cultivating friendship is hard, you don't need many, just one or two good ones.
And what does that DCUM poster say...envy steals the joy of life...

I was out west and not on the west coast. Think Colorado and Arizona.

You don't need to change it. Just find like minded people who are into same stuff you are. Meet ups, Facebook groups? Neighborhood book club, reading club. Maybe the library has some sort of book event etc. good luck.

And this points to the problem! The assumption that there is NOTHING between the coast. The Empty Zone of Deplorables!

DCUM is not the place for understanding or advice on this OP.. here if you deviate from their one style or personality or if you ever confront human or metaphysical issues that might question the closely held conformist values... then you must be 'deranged' or 'dramatic'.
