Linda Fairstein has no doubt that the Central Park five were guilty too.
There was a lot more to this case than the confessions, which were not coerced.
This gang of thugs attacked many people that night. They were in Central Park. They did it.
And I am glad that Trump stood up for the victim back then and I am glad he is not backing down now.
Mayor DeBlasio made a huge mistakes by paying millions to these perpetrators.
Here's how our law and order works in this country: you can't be convicted of a crime you didn't commit. They were convicted of rape. They didn't rape her. If they were convicted of aiding and abetting, then yes, maybe they are guilty of that. But, that's not what happened.
Saying "you are guilty of something so you should go to jail" is not how you nor Trump would want the law applied to you or him, either.
