Favorite tinted moisturizer with SPF?

I use Clinique tinted moisturizer and love it. Also effective: combining your favorite moisturizer with some of your favorite foundation and putting it on at the same time.

i have a question...does it match your skin enough? i can go from really pale to pretty dark in the summer and i'm not sure if it would work on skin like mine (the color, not the moisturizer). i've tried one tinted moisturizer in the past (i can't for the life of me remember what brand) and it was too dark for my winter skin but i imagine too pale for my summer skin. i would love to use a good one, but i fear the "mask".

PP, I would think you would need to have two different colors just like you would with a foundation. I know my summer shade is a bit darker than my winter shade. HTH

Maybe they have super-dry skin. ? But I agree, I would think a tinted moisturizer isn't the best product for that purpose.

I do both. I have very dry skin. So I apply a light layer of moisturizer, wait for it to absorb and then apply the tinted. I find the one I use (Neutrogena) to be more make-up than moisturizer. Also, I apply moisturizer to more places than the tinted one.

Why I still like the tinted moisturizer is that it just helps even out skin tone without looking too "make-up-ey". It doesn't get cakey, it's easy to look natural. Regular liquid make-up looks too heavy on me (and tends to clump in my dry skin lines).

I love the Philosophy brand tinted mosturizer with SPF.

I too use the Philosophy Shelter (spf 30). I like it.

To those who use Laura Mercier, do you use the "regular" or the Tinted Moisturizer Illuminating? Both have SPF 20 but it looks like the Illuminating has some shimmer.

I like the idea of illumination but not of shimmer.

Anyone have oily skin? LM is great for me in the winter when my skin is drier, but in the summer, it quickly becomes an oil slick. For that reason, the "illuminating" versions are out.

Suggestions?

I use the regular oil-free LM. I also always use sunscreen too. My dermo told me the sun protection in LM is not sufficent to use alone.

PP- I have the same problem with LM. I've been looking at my oily face for the last week thinking that I need to find some other foundation/powder for the summer even though I love LM when it's not so hot out.

I have the same issue with the heat/oily skin. Bobbi Brown makes a great foundation. I think it is called Skin or something along those lines. I really like it and never feel oily like I would with LM.
