I'm totally with you, OP.
Read Girls & Sex by Peggy Orenstein and you'll never doubt your stalking ways again. |

I also love using the Find My Friends app to know where my kids and spouse are. I know that the kids have arrived safely at their destination without having to bug them, and my spouse is a bike commuter so it is reassuring to know when she's arrived safely as well. I don't really view it as stalking as they have to give permission for me to track their phone.
Side benefit - when the kid thinks she left her phone at someone else's house or in someone's car - it's much easier to locate. |

Weird, creepy, controlling. I can't understand having to know where a spouse is every minute of the day.
|
First of all, I maybe check when she is running late. Just to see what is going on. Second, I am not locating her, just her cell phone. And she does the same with me. |
I'm stuck on this - husband is making dinner while I drive home? Hurrah, he can track me all he wants!
Here's the thing. If you and your husband trust each other and aren't controlling, this app (which I've never heard of before this) is great. If your spouse IS controlling, abusive, apt to question where you are all.the.time then an app isn't going to keep that from happening. I think it was a great use of the app, personally. I call my husband about twice during every commute, once to say I'm leaving (late, as always) to give him an ETA of when I'll be home, then if there is worse traffic than usual, I call again. Wouldn't it all be easier if he could just see where I was? |
+1 My ex is a firefighter and we lived in a major city. He always got calls at the end of shifts and I always got stuck in traffic. It was nice to be able to take a peak and plan accordingly, especially since he couldn't exactly pick up the phone on a call. |
3rd I did not get the remote taser attachment ...for her..but for my husband I did. |
| how do you track? what app? |
On an iPhone, find my friends. |
|
I use it all the time, especially to see where my middle schooler is and if my DH is on the way home.
Told my mom about Find My Friends, her response was "that would have ruined all the hanky lanky in the Seventies". Face palm. |

| I think your kid and mine were at the same competition - probably from the same school! |
Could be....did they come in 4th overall |
| I refuse to use this. |
