So glad to know I'm not the only one that looks ridiculous when I attempt a pony tail...all that new growth in the front just sticks out!! Even when my hair is down, it still looks like I have a mane framing my face. |

My hair started to change in my mid-20s but now it is getting crazy. Post kid #1 it was pretty good and I had a fantastic stylist in London who really understood my hair (flat on top, curly underneath). Today, 14 months post kid #2 my hair is frizzy and super curly everywhere but the very top front and it seems to be spreading. I am 38. I used to just have curly hair in the back underneath, now it is all the way around my crown but not to the top of my head. The top layer is dry and broken no matter what I do while I quite like the hair underneath - curly but not frizzy. A lot more gray now, too. I lost no hair as a result of either pregnancy and god I wish I had. I have a ridiculous amount of hair by anyone's standards - I could seriously benefit from some shedding.
I wash my hair 2/3 times a week and have been driven to a flat iron, something I thought I would never do. But it is just to calm it down. I mean I look crazy. CRAZY! And I don't like living with a pony tail!! Hairstylists start marketing yourselves to moms with crazy hormone driven hair!! You will make a mint!! |
Wigs are starting to sound good right about now...

I have baby hairs, major breakage, FRIZZ and way more volume and curl than ever before. It's too bad straight perfect hair is so desired these days - I missed the boat.
If big hair would come back like the eighties, I might be able to pull it off!!! Except for my frizz of course. |

I just want to second everybody who mentioned the "mane" of hair that happens when I try a ponytail. My hair KEEPS falling out around my face and growing back. The result is an absurd frizz and flyaway when I pull my hair back.
I have to admit though, that my daughter is almost two and it isn't really getting any better..... |
