Clothing brands for super fat babies

Thank you pp, you're awesome.

Nordstrom baby runs larger (not super pricey, but not Carters). Have you tried Kohls jumping bean brand? Super cheap and I have found they run a little bit.

Walmart has some pants that cost $2 (not kidding) that would be good for a chub chub. I know going to Walmart is hard, but those pants would be perfect.

Yeah, at this rate she'll end up on one of those my 600 lb life shows... I'm enabling her with my breastmilk I guess.

How much does she weigh?

18 lbs

Oh that's not bad! It must be how she holds the weight. My son was a big boy...at 8 months he was 26lbs but a year later he was only 30. It slows down.

That doesn't seem like much - is she really short?

Maybe try dresses and bloomers? Tights for the fall?

Patagonia has really generous sizing for babies and toddlers. My chubby babies (who are now turning into lean preschoolers) lived in Patagonia fleece pants and capelene onesies with the matching bottoms.

Hi Op! My now 7.5 month old was also 18 lbs at 4 months (she's also VERY tall - off the charts in both height and weight). She's now 23 lbs at 7.5 months. I find carters to be pretty useless - the stuff shrinks so quickly, especially the pjs. She's worn some of their onesie and wore a size 18 month romper of theirs today, but that's about it

The BEST brand I have found is called Polarn O. Pyret - it's Swedish and apparently their babies are big. They are the only leggings that really have worked for her (Hanna Anderson size 75 also works now). And the POP stuff is CUTE. try to get it on sale because it's quite expensive.

Gap also works for us (although not old navy). She's in mostly 12-18 now pretty comfortably. We don't do leggings and most rompers are tough unless they are very stretchy (but I've found gap to be pretty good for this but not on everything - luckily you can return easily what doesn't fit). For pants try anything loose fitting. Most brands call them joggers. You might have to look in the boys section. For pjs, try the organic cotton from gap. They are very soft and have a nice stretch. Don't even try Hanna Anderson for pjs (that was sad!)

And don't listen to the haters. People will make the rudest f'ing comments to you (the best was WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING HER?? She was EBF at the time and I'd respond "pizza.") Your baby is gorgeous I'm sure! Enjoy her!

Is hanna anderson still around? Those dress/legging sets are very generously cut.
I clicked on the thread because it reminded me of my super chubby middle child who is now a tall athletic perfectly proportioned 13 year old.
I also liked the childrens place because they made onesies with the snap crotch up to 4t which she wore as a young 2 year old.

Thank you! I'll check out this Swedish brand. She is the cutest cherub ever in my eyes and I want to dress her in cute clothes. The doctor says she is OK and that I shouldn't try to put her on a diet yet (she's ebf).

Is she on the shorter side? My 2-month old boy is almost 17 lbs and 24.5 inches, also exclusively breastfed. He's in the 6-month bodysuits so far. Look at H&M, the baby clothes run large.

Why is this adorable?

This is generally true. Also try Little Me, which runs short and wide, with the exception of the cotton zip-up footless sleepers sold at Costco (which run VERY short and slim). Finally, Macy's store brand First Impressions mostly runs wide, though that's not true for every item.

I agree that Hanna clothes are usually generously sized, but the PJs aren't; my 2-year-old, who's relatively lean, most comfortably wears a 3 (90 cm) in their zip-up sleepers.

Walmart. Seriously. I received some as a gift and it was one of the few brands I had that fit my DD. She was 18 lbs at 4mo like your daughter. Now at age 4 she is 30th percentile for weight, so I wouldn't worry about the weight being s long term issue.

Agree with the Boden suggestion. Their stuff is cut generously.
