Does anyone in here shop at Kohls or JCPenney?

Agree with the PP re: Kohl's kid's line Jellybeans, or whatever its called. It is really surprising how good quality their hoodies/(cotton) fleece items are for the price. I also like their plain or graphic tees and boy's pants/ shorts. The quality of the girls stuff is decent but their prints are a little tacky (and obviously, I'm happy to buy big box/discount clothes as a general matter, so I don't think I'm hugely picky on this front!)

I have never shopped there for myself.

I really used to like Kohls clothes, but it seems like all of the clothes are 100% polyester now. Especially in summer, I don't like polyester.

I agree.

Consignment stores are fabulous also.
Ebay.

I never find anything I like at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Do you have to spend a lot of time picking through things?

A little but not too much. It's worth it.

One of my favorite stores is Bealls (pronounced Bells, btw), but I think they are only in Florida. It's similar to Kohls, but they have fantastic sales. When we left Florida, I just started shopping on line. If you are looking for something similar, you might check it out...

I think JCP is expensive for what you get. Kohls is better if you have a coupon. Agree with other PPs about TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

I like Kohls Apt. 9 brand for myself and Jumping Beans for my daughter.

I used to shop a ton at JCP -- the Worthington line fit me very well and had a lot of conservative items for work, including suit separates. During their big makeover a few years ago, that changed and I could never find anything I would wear to the office or at all.

I shop at Kohls for casual clothes and sometimes find a top or dress for work. The patterns tend to be very loud, is my problem. I agree with PPs that Jellybeans is a great brand, although I am more likely to buy kids clothes second-hand.

I've started buying my work clothes at consignment shops and Macys on sale.

I purchased a Lauren Conrad necklace today @Kohls, but it feels and looks like cheap Avon jewelry to me.

I shop at both. Penny's is rather limited a few things from Lands End.

DH shops almost exclusively from JCP, Target and Walmart. I order online from Macy's often with their sales. Sometimes Loft. When we lived closer to a Kohls I ordered for all of us when they had 30% off. Now it's not convenient to return if they don't fit so I stopped.

For the kids, Children's Place with their sales and codes. Clothes are frequently $2-4
