GEHA Fed has $2500 benefit. But, the total isn't $8000-9000. It's more like $6000 =6300.

if you change dental plans every year, you can use the new "lifetime 1000" benefit toward the balance of the braces. That's how most of my kids braces cost was paid.

Many insurances have 1 or 2 year waiting period for orthodonty benefits to begin. I did change insurances for better coverage ( got GEHA federal) and it had 1 yr waiting period. My old insurance had 2 yr waiting period so overall it didn't delay me

Ended up about 6,000 after insurance for one and 8,500 for the other (two phase is a racket
