The Willard.
|
| St Regis |
| We usually stay at nicer business hotels (Westins etc.)just outside of town for staycations romantic weekends. Usually empty and dirt cheap. City hotels on weekends are usually filled with tourist from Ohio and wedding parties with drunks. |
| Renaissance or the new Marriott Marquette |
| Mandarin Oriental has an amazing spa that you can use if you are staying there. the location is kind of random (although you may get a nice water view), but it will be a cheap uber ride from downtown. |
| Kimpton Rouge is very sexy, also not to expensive. |
| Rosewood DC in Georgetown (fka as The Capella Hotel) |
| We love the Fairmont in Georgetown. |
| If you don't have an unlimited budget, go to priceline or hotwire and choose a 5 star downtown hotel. Accordning to betterbidding.com, you'll be getting either the Hay Adams, Sofitel, or Willard. |
Sofitel has worse service than the days in on NY age. |
| We love the Omni Shoreham and the rooms are huge! |
| Can you wait til the new Trump Hotel opens? |
|
Not sure what restaurants are near here off hand, but this hotel is very nice: http://www.melrosehoteldc.com/

Nothing hotter than a big picture of George Washjngton's head watching you have sex! (See photos and look at one of the rooms. )
Random FYI: The restaurant here has amazing home fries! |
We spent a night there -- it was OK, but I'd probably choose the Hay Adams next time. My sister and BIL stayed there recently and it was lovely. |
