Shady Grove's 2016 54% price hike for FET out of pocket

They tried to tell me they would give me a discount if I paid out of pocket so I could save one of my transfers that insurance covered--freeze-all still counted a transfer for insurance. They were going to charge me like 2,500 for the FET out of pocket. I said no and went with insurance. It was only when I was leaving SG to go elsewhere for treatment that I found out my insurance only paid 1,500 per an FET.

Go elsewhere and transfer!

Also, this almost up there when I was a new patient at SG and they sent me a Happy Mother's Day email. LOL. I can laugh about it now....but it was pretty horrific!

Oh yeah the Happy Mother's Day email. They really are awful in so many ways.

Is this a hard process?

I also had a freeze all cycle because my progesterone rose. They never mentioned a discount or anything and I have a low lifetime insurance max. I'm pregnant now but still annoyed that I had to pay for an Fet cycle (my insurance covered most) because they overstimmed me.

We transferred our embryos to Dominion and have been much happier, just started an FET cycle last week.

I've very scared and worried about this! We're doing ERAs until we get receptive, so of course that pushes us out from FETs. Does anyone know how much it costs to do an FET at CFA? If SGF costs $7100 OOP I'm pretty sure this will be the impetus to cause me to go elsewhere!

Sorry was MIA--this is the freeze-all person who left. It was easy actually. We interviewed REs at area clinics and considered SIRM or other out of state clinics. We settled on one, and drove our embies between clinics. I was pregnant on my first transfer with a protocol tailored to me!

Possible. The brochure I received was for June 2016, with the $7100 price for FET.

We just met with them on Fri and I didn't get any brochure. Can you let me know what the $7100 price includes?

Just the cost of the FET: monitoring, labs, and the actual transfer. Meds are extra.

Plus the fee for SG to do embryo biopsy.

Does anyone know what the new price for the Shared Risk FET program is?
