| Is the Underground tour fun? Worth the time? |

Naked Bike Ride
either watch or participate Seriously they do this in Seattle. Check out their facebook page for dates and locations Cra cra liberals.... |
My dh and I loved the tour, but I remember our tour guide using a lot of bawdy humor, so it may not be so kid-appropriate. Pikes place leads food tours--that was really cool and worth the money. |
I love the underground tour. Are you the OP, so you're asking whether it's worth it for elementary school aged kids? It's a nice combo of history and creepy. And there's a lot of potty humor because they have to spend so much time talking about the original sewage systems. There is quite a bit of standing and listening, so your kids have to be up for that kind of tour. (And they keep you on the tour path pretty carefully--not a lot of opportunities for wandering off and touching stuff on your own.) The other downside of the underground tour is that it's in Pioneer Square, which isn't a super fun neighborhood for families these days. Nightlife is still good, and it's right next to the stadiums, but I don't know what else I'd do in Pioneer Square with a family, except go to the big toy store, I guess. Or maybe do the underground tour in combination with an outing to the waterfront? |

I second the recommendation for eating at Din Tai Fung, best known for their XiaoLongBao (soup dumplings).
My kids also loved gas works park at sunset. Woodlands park zoo is amazing. I am not typically a big fan of zoos and find the national Zoo somewhat depressing, but I really loved Woodlands Park zoo. Ferry to Bainbridge Island. The kids will love the ferry ride. Driving on and off ferry is very easy and organized. The "downtown" area of bainbridge is really cute with some nice shops. |

Perhaps tour some marijuana stores and grows, too?
Lots and lots of pot growing in the Seattle area! |
