Just quit my job and got dumped, now what do I do with my life...

OP - what about your kids?

This may be the last time in your life that you are truly free to do whatever the flip you want. ENJOY IT. Signed, a mom of two who kind of wants to leave her job put is kind of pigeonholed.

Jeebers, you are in your 20s, just deal with it, have fun and move on.

Go backpack in SE Asia. Really. Just do it for a few months. Lonely Planet is your friend.

Like get a real estate license or get a masseuse license and start massaging people, this is an opportunity to turn your life around and do something that you really would love to do rather than just do for money. If you loved your former career choice, then get Crackin looking for a job just like with a company like doing what you love to do.

I honestly have no idea what I want to do at all for a career. I just know I want to do something every day to help others and make a difference in other people's lives.

Anonymous wrote:I'm sure it feels really scary OP - but wow the what a great opportunity. You literally can pick up and start over where-ever you want. Not many chances in life to do that (says middle aged federal worker with kids who feels stuck). Best of luck!

Thanks I agree!!!! I feel like now I can do absolutely anything even though it really hurts about my boyfriend but now I'm like ... Wow what next. Good or bad

Has anyone done this? Is it less expensive than cruises run by companies like NCL or Carnival?

Are you the OP of the other threads in the relationship forum, like it's too hard to move on after getting dumped, and we broke up threads?

OP, I was once in your shoes, although I had the added grief of just losing a parent as well. I ended up going on a long cycling trip in Europe - even though I wasn't really a distance cyclist. I had to train for about six weeks - cycled from Vienna to Prague. Saw some sights in Budapest. Best time of my life.

And, the guy who dumped me came crawling back. I was in killer shape and was able to give him the big F U and felt great about it!

Nope. Found DCUM because of the Kane show drama threads. Used to love the show and was fascinated by all of it last summer. Continued reading other threads. Its interesting reading anonymous posts about this area.
