I agree that she would uphold the tradition. She probably wouldn't care for him all that much, though. I can see her saying, "Oh shit, him again?" |
Quartz has a good summary here:

I am mildly curious. Why do you think the Queen wouldn't like Boris Johnson?
Boris Johnson is one of the more popular political figures in Britain and has been for a long time and was a successful two term mayor of London until this year. By all accounts he's endearing and charming in person. Are you simply stamping your own biases on him without really knowing who he is (i.e. he is a tory therefore he's bad)? Many Americans do this when it comes to British figures. Anyway, the rumor is that the Queen privately supports Brexit. If true, then she can't possibly dislike Boris Johnson ![]()

If it passes, Obama will blame the weak economy on brexit, and Donald Trump win is a sure thing in November. |
Wendy Deng apparently loved Blair so he probably came out ahead! ![]() |
It is beyond states rights. These are countries. If there was an American Union would you like people in Brazil, Columbia, determining your future? Your economy? Immigration? Germany is the lead in the EU. I do not agree with Obama and the putting the UK to the back of the "queue" if the vote is leave. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/434744/president-obamas-brexit-intervention Some countries never joined the EU-Switzerland and Norway. Norway signed the Schengen Treaty so it gets migrants. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3654063/We-control-immigration-Soaring-migrant-numbers-independent-Norway-says-s-better-without-EU-meddling.html And here is Schengen http://www.schengenvisainfo.com/schengen-visa-countries-list/ Get a Schegen visa and people can go anywhere. |
UK is NOT in Schengen. |
Like most Americans you probably don't realise how unpopular Tony Blair is in the UK. To say he's utterly despised is putting it mildly.
|
Why would Britain voting to leave the EU cause Americans to vote for Trump? |
Wanna bet on the Trump win? I say you're just blowing hot air. |
Britain is leaving.
Scotland, on the other hand, is thinking very hard about how to stay. Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland, has said she would like to see a new independence referendum before the leave takes effect. |
That's some magical thinking. |
Ummmm, not exactly, given that the member nations remain, well, nations .... |
Doubtful. The scariest headline ever just flashed on my screen: "Donald Trump comments on Brexit from his golf course in Scotland." |
The anti-immigration side won. Fairly significantly in fact. This is the side represented by Trump in America. Trump was also for Brexit. Obama urged them to remain. Obama's side lost. What this portends for the election in the U.S. is unclear - but I will say that right up to the day of the vote most peopl though "remain" was going to win. |
