Candy or other Ideas for filling a piñata?

filled ours with plastic butterfly and horse figurines and some rings. (and candy) walmart online actually had the bags of horses. might get some more for halloween for kids with allergies.

OP is hosting a party for six year olds. For six year olds and older blindfolded is better. The pinata won't last more than a few kids if they are able to see it.

Your rule is good for toddlers and preschoolers, but not school aged kids.


At the party we went to for 6 year old girls, we did one round of blindfolds and then quickly went to no blindfolds -- both for personal safety and the fact that it would probably have taken hours for the pinata to break if they could not see it. So I would bring a blindfold and see how it goes.

How many kids? With a lot, with blindfolds, it will take forever, and the kids get really bored.
